Warnors Theatre – Fresno’s Historic Performing Arts Landmark
Located in the heart of downtown Fresno, California, Warnors Theatre is one of the region’s most iconic and historically significant performing arts venues. Since opening in 1928, the theatre has served as a centerpiece for live performances, concerts, films, and cultural events, combining classic architecture with modern entertainment.
A Rich History in Downtown Fresno
Originally opened as the Pantages Theatre, Warnors Theatre was designed by acclaimed architect B. Marcus Priteca, known for creating grand movie palaces across the United States. In 1929, the venue was acquired by Warner Bros., becoming a major destination for film premieres and live entertainment during Hollywood’s golden age.
Renamed Warnors Theatre in the 1960s, the venue has been carefully preserved through community efforts and now operates as part of the Warnors Center for the Performing Arts, continuing its legacy as a cultural anchor in Fresno.

Historic Architecture & Design
