Bio: Jasmín la Carís is a Contemporary Ballet choreographer and Flamenco dancer. She’s built her reputation in theaters and galleries like Warnor‘s Theater, Arte Americas and Fresno’s Grand Ballroom. Her work, Literary Movements, was the first theatrical production in that historic building since 1922.   In late 2015, La Carís created The Art of Dance, an intense monthly performance featuring guest dancers from around the city.  She broke attendance records and was inspired to create Pas De Peinture, a work celebrating color. Sold-out weeks before opening, Peinture caught the attention of fashion house ANGL, who invited Jasmín to choreograph their runway show. Jasmin later worked with Manuel Gutierrez on Kompaz at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. They staged the performance at The Global Gift Initiative’s event Padres Contra el Cáncer for actress Eva Longoria and Verizon’s Latino Entrepreneur of the Year at the MOLAA in Los Angeles. La Carís continues to collaborate with her husband Omar Naré. Together they have taken Nuevo Mariachi music and dance across California.
